Kiera Leigh is too close to Hollywood. Kiera Knightly, Pirates of the Carribean. Don't get me wrong it's a very elegant name but I'm not too keen on naming a child after or similar someone else. Sorry, you asked for honest.
My daughter's first name was decided before I knew she was going to be a girl. Her middle name was going to be Shale but it changed at the last minute due to a misunderstanding. If you want to know I'll tell you the story.
We HAVE to have the middle name Leigh if it is girl. And Keira has been a favorite of ours for a long time. I think we will keep it in our 'LIST' and see. I am only 8 weeks, so I have time to think about it.
Noah William is already decided for a boy..... That was decided before I got pregnant! lol
I really like Noah William, it sounds very.....like I said powerful.
Well the story with my daughter goes: Her name was going to be Jordan wether she was a boy or girl. I really liked the name and it worked for both boy and girl. I was throwing around middle names and had decided on either Shale or Corrin. Two days before she was born I was sitting on my Dad's couch and we were talking about middle names. He was flipping through the TV guide (truth is I was talking about names and he was tryign to drown me out). Anyway while flipping through the TV guide he said "how about Tyrin for a middle name" I laughed and didn't think more of it.
After she was born and the nurse came in to fill out the borth cert I just blurted out Tryin without thinking. I didn't realize what I said until after she left the room.
Aww, what a cutie! I like that name alot too. I have a feeling that this a boy.....or twins.
My daughters both think that it is a boy and so does DH. However, EVERYONE has this wierd feeling of twins. Hopefully we will find out tomorrow!! My first appointment is tomorrow. They are not planning a ultrasound yet but I am hoping that they will schedule one soon, I want to see!!
Hey Katz ~ if you could sum up your life style in one word what would it be?
I know my self and my ex would qualify as a true "hillbilly" or "oakie". My husband is very "stoic". My best friend is very "regal". My grandmother would be "victorian". One of my aunts would be ....I don't know she is a cross between Roseanne and Peggy Bundy.
The reason I ask is that names for children are chosen based on the person and the person's life style.
How would I sum us up in one word? That is really hard. LOL after sitting here with my DH trying to figure out how to describe us, we came up with Relaxed. We do not stress on much, work and school are secondary to our family. We are the type that like to go for a drive, 'just because'. Or we drive down a road just to see where it goes. We really try to live a non stressful life and enjoy life no matter what our situation.
My daughters names are Makaylah Mary and Caitlyn Ryana
You have often said that you don't care what people think on here. So why do you care what people think of baby names? It's not as if someone is going to say, "that name really sucks, you should name it ***", and then you change your mind. I, for one, am NOT looking forward to 8 months of baby talk on a pet forum.
When I first Saw the name Noah William, I thought that sounds like a relaxed laid back person who goes with the flow. So if you are relaxed like you said, I think it fits perfectly. Its also super cute! My hubby and I are traditional people so we named our son after my hubby. it was easy no agruments. Good luck and have fun!!! PS we are planning on getting pregnant with our second this year.. but not till Sept. I can't wait!
I love the name Noah William. I like the name Kiera also, but I am a fan of more traditional names. I try to keep in mind that they will be old people one day - what would an 80 year old Cheyenne be like? Not that I don't like that name, but I think it fits more for a young girl. My daughters are twins and we picked very traditional names: Abigail Claire (goes by Abby) and Hannah Kate. If I had another child and it was a girl her name would be Emma Grace or Madeline Grace. I think you are on the right track for picking a strong name! Good luck! Let me know if they find out you are having multiples. There are tons of good sites and great books out there to help you get ready!
Thank You Everyone. I appreciate your opinions very much.
Catlover, I am sorry that you are so bent out of shape about me asking a question. In fact, I was looking for honest answers. Some of the other forums I post on have been very helpful and told me some of the things that they didn't like about other names I had picked.
I will try not to post about things involving my pregnancy. I apologize for being excited.
To everyone else, I will let you know what we decide and if we find out we are having more then one.
"I do not have friends on here. I may get along with some people but I do not consider anyone on here really a friend because......as I was trying to point out, you never know for a fact that what you are reading is true.
I have friends in real life, I have a very satisfying life OFF of this forum. I do not look to the internet for friends. I have met interesting people but I do not consider them my friends..... sorry if that offends any of you. Friend to me is more then words written by someone.
I am not in need of 'back up' or support
I do not come here looking for friends.....help and advice and the occasional cute picture. Other then that, I can get the rest in my own personal life. "
Well, just quoting from you, why would you care what anyone on here thinks? Anyway, Noah is one of the 10 most popular boys names, so I guess someone likes it, if you need validation. As for your other forums, most forums have a separate category for off topic subjects, and they, also, don't want off topic subjects on the pet forum.
