When I take Baxter out he almost always comes back in with a small branch. He likes chewing on them but i'm concerned about it. I don't see that he is swallowing a lot of it, he's mostly just chewing it up and leaving the pieces all over my sofa's. Should i let him keep doing this?

My Molly is also a huge fan of sticks and branches. She is a Mastiff and she absolutely loves to chew. She has tons of chew toys, but when we are out walking, she always stops and picks up sticks and branches and runs all the way home with them in her mouth (with me hanging on to the leash for dear life). LOL I'm sure it is not the healthiest thing in the World, but so far we have not had any problems (Thank God). So, since it makes her so happy, I don't take them away from her.
scout loved wood when she was younger. she still does, to a lesser degree now, like to chew on sticks. she used to rip branches off little trees and stuff and then go off and chew them up. she would also love to chew on any pencils she coudl find.
