Everyone that is new to this site or has been around for a little while, seem to ask the same questions over and over and the fact will still be that everyone has their set feelings about the way they either feel about breeders or people who buy mutts. I have had my feelings hurt more then one time by asking a question that people will react to and that is what it is.
what makes a back yard breeder, why shouldn't i breed my dogs. Anyone that has been a breeder or is one now has very strong feelings about their dogs and other dogs because of everything they have gone though and how people have treated them. I think people do not realize that a real breeder loves the dogs before anything and will go out of the way for the people who end up buying their puppies. I can never let a puppy go if I don't feel good about that family or person. I will not sell a dog for less just to get rid of the puppy. If that means I have a lot of dogs at a time that is what it means. Most people will have there puppy sold before they are even born. I really find it sad that every post is about the same thing. If there is a problem, don't waste your time posting because everyone here knows what you will get in return.
I know that this is for learning but I think people have took this site as a way to get back at the people who don't know crap and don't care to know they will try and piss anyone off they can and they will change their name a million times, just to get a rise out of someone.
I love to see peoples new pets and if they have question I would love to help answer them. but the people who are on here for pissing people off or just to get something off their chest is just wrong go waste someone else's time.
I think the reason you keep seeing the same questions over and over, is that new people come on here and ask a question that has been asked before. They are new and don't go and read old post. They just want an answer to there immediate question.
And for me as a breeder, I don't mind answering the same question over and over again. Because maybe, just maybe we will get through to just one person who was going to make a major breeding error. If we can save just one person's dog or them the heartbreaks that can accompany breeding..............I say ask away. Because I will always try to reply with factual information.
He's your friend, your partner, your defender your dog.You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours faithful and true to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to worthy of such devotion
Regarding the same ole questions....If there were a search section of this forum for topics discussed then the same questions wouldn't be asked over and over again.....Personally I don't have the time to go back several pages to try and find something that pertains to what I need to learn about....the only search I see is google search...Am I missing something?
Boxercorps, I agree with what you're saying, to a point. I think one way to perhaps avoid the repetetive questions would be to organize some categories within categories, as in dog talk, Breeding questions, Feeding issues, Puppy issues. Do you see what I'm getting at?That way people could direct their question to a more specific topic, and those who are sick of answering the same old stuff can choose not to participate. I think the people who are just here to be A-holes should stay off the forum, but unfortunately, it's a discussion forum, and as such there are no rules saying you can't 'discuss',even if it's not close to helpful, or even on topic. What do you think of that idea? Being new to the forum myself, I hav'nt been around long enough to think of some other useful ways to change the set up, but what I just mentioned would be helpful, I think
Pen that is what I am saying, I think if things where different that way it might make it better for everyone. I don't feel bad answering the same questions over and over it is the point that i think some people try and make people upset.
Boxercorps, yes, I know exactly what you mean. I think the forum members who tend to do this should just ignore the posts that they obviously find annoying or stupid in some form, and resist the urge to respond at all. I think a lot of people have probably turned to this forum looking for advice, and not come back because of the responses they received. Is this what you were getting at?
Some people post and if they do not get instant gratification, they repost the same thing two or three more times. ANNOYING. Some people post a controversial topic with the sole purpose of getting a rise out of the rest of the members. ANNOYING. Some people post, a topic, then change their name and come back and post a topic similar to the other one they posted under their previous name. ANNOYING. Some people post and when they do not get enough of the responses they are seeking, they make up other names so they can post agreeing answers to themselves. ANNOYING.
All of the above mentioned actions are pre-trollish behavior. Once they get thoroughly po'd they come back as a full fledged troll. thats when they show their true purpose for being here. Sometimes we choose to ignore them, but other times we just can't seem to fight that little urge, to kick their butts back down under that bridge. At times using both feet to do it with !
I think what really gets under our skin is that by the time we catch on to who they really are, we have already went through several pages of arguing with them.... LMAO !
If you are a dog and your owner suggests that you wear a sweater, suggest that he wear a tail.
And some people do some of these things and are the furthest thing from a troll.People have to be careful when jumping to conclusions, especially if the person is not guilty of anything, is new to the internet and discussion groups, and not particularly computer savvy.
