I woke up this morning and found my female siberian husky knotted up with a stray dog (we had been keeping a close eye on her, and did not realize she had come into heat yet). We really dont want her to have this litter - is there ANYTHING that we can do to safely abort this litter, espeically in this early stage?
Depending where you live, it will be hard to find a vet to give the mis-mate shot. The drug used in Canada is a Prostoglandin F2 Alpha called Lutalyse. Many vets won't use it, but it is widely used in this country.
If you can not find a vet that will give you the Mis Mate shot, then go to the drug store and give her a vinegar and water douche the next few days. First she had to ovulated to become pregnant. Then those eggs must be fertilized, and then they must implant. Doing the vinegar and water douche can prevent that from happening. Sperm can live over 72 hours in the female.
He's your friend, your partner, your defender your dog.You are his life, his love, his leader. He will be yours faithful and true to the last beat of his heart. You owe it to him to worthy of such devotion
should have spayed her as soon as you got her. then this whole thing could have been avoided
I don't really know much about this shot or pill that the vet gives you because Ive never came across this problem before, so but you definatly need to het your dog checked out bu your vet to see it she's pregnate. then they'll give you info as to where to go from there.
