I do the hot dogs as I said previously but someone said thats not good.I dont do it all day or even everyday but I also have a scrap bowl on my counter and I put pieces of meat in it when I am cooking or stuff the kids dont eat and sometimes I grab from there as a treat, it could be anything an apple piece a pepperoni a piece of cheese just whatever we have been eating.Nothing like cookies or cake just meal type stuff or kids snacks like a piece of penut butter toast that wasnt finished.
I was going to ask what a bully stick was because I keep seeing people recommend them all over this forum. But then I Googled it and ....well... I'm sorry I asked. Max gets Scooby Snacks but he only gets two a day and even if they are junk, he loves them and that's what a treat is for. He is not fond of anything that is good for him so I figure he deserves a treat he enjoys.
MaxandAllie, you HAVE to try bully sticks! (well, at least...MAX does!) They are Maggie's absolute FAVORITE treat! And they last much longer than any other chew I've given her. I like to give her these when I really want something to occupy her for more than, say...2 minutes, lol!
The average dog is a nicer person than the average person.
Albie also loves his bully sticks! After we got Dora he started showing some SA when we would take her out and leave him behind. So whenever we leave with Dora we give him a bully stick and he wants Dora to leave all the time =)~ From what I've read there isn't the same amount of risk of choking with bully sticks as there is with rawhide and greenies, another bonus.
