Yeah, I don't know how I feel about the death penalty. I guess for me, if someone outright confessed that they killed someone or there was irresputable proof (like witnesses, etc.) that they did it, then maybe. But I guess for me I just don't think people should be executed if they maintain that they are innocent and there just isn't enough evidence. I know most people say they're innocent because they don't want to get caught, but what about the small percentage of people that are in prison and really didn't do it? In Colorado there was a case of someone who had been in prison 20 years already for rape, and because of technology, they had finally been able to do DNA testing and found out he was innocent. He spent 20 innocent years behind bars. I'm not saying Scott is innocent either, but that kind of stuff scares me. I really wonder how many people have been executed and were in fact innocent. I just wouldn't want to take that chance. Would rather them be in jail instead of dead, just in case. Course, goes the other way as well. There are people that were declared innocent when they were in fact guilty. It's just so hard to tell...

I believe death is to easy for him However the decision made by the jury had to ulimately be one of the hardest things for anyone person to do.. Imagine if you had to decide the fate of another human, now I for one am not a fan of Scott Peterson. The acts of inhumanity he commited against his own wife and unborn child is just horrible to mention and no words can describe my anger toward him, can I utimately be the one who decides whether he lives or dies, probably not. I commend the jury of our peers for peforming a duty aksed by our judicial system, for doing a brave and long endurance out of their personal lives, and in the light of the media, they have sacrificed alot of time with thier familes. that is something that Lacey's parents can do no longer, and have never had the chance with the unborn grandson Conner. May his little soul rise up and be an angel. God will bless the family in the coming times. Scott deserves to be reminded of this act he commited everyday, for the remorse will set in and it will be than he will want to die. He will have to answer to our maker. May God have mercy on his soul.
with all due respect its not like the death penalty means actual death. i think i read, there have been 600+ people on death row in CA since the DP was reinstated, and only 10 have been put to death. all the DP does is cost you, the CA taxpayers, money. its cheaper to sentence him to 200 years in prison. while he will likely die there, it will probably be of natural causes.
I heard that California has the longest wait on death row. I knwo Texas would give him the ax as soon as possible. But I do think that death is too easy for what he did. I think they should make him remember what he did everyday of his life by looking at pictures of his beautiful pregnant wife. He is such a loser. Hopefully soon he will become some guys girlfriend.
Actually I think Charles Manson is not on death row. If he was on it how would he be able to go in front of a parole board to try to get out? I think he just got life. And I think the only reason he didn't get the death sentence, is because it didn't exsist at the time in California. Here is a link http://www.culteducation.com/manson.html

i don't believe in the death penalty, either. i think it would be very hard to sentence someone to death, and i think the jury has sacrificed a lot too. i think charles manson maybe got the insanity thing? he certainly is.
