My puppy's name before we bought her, was Felina. Her name now is Chili Pepper! But Felina is from this song: From "Down in the west Texas town of El Paso, I fell in love with a Mexican girl......." Her sister's name is Ruby Ann, from "Ruby Ann took the hand of blahblah(doesn't know that part)Aint true love-a funny thing!"

Ours is named for the Notre Dame movie Rudy. BTW when we bought him is name was Peppar Kakar which means Ginger Snap in Hawaiian. The old owner gave us a tin of cookies with the name on it. So I guess it's also the name og the cookie company here that makes ginger snaps ;)

Yes, His name is Rudy. We were looking for a name that mean red since he is ruby colored. I came across the name Rudy which is my husbands favorite movie so we went with that. We almost went with Killian which is also my husbands favorite beer "killians irish red" :)

LOL my Bogie/ black Labador retreiver and Pit Bull terrier is from non other then Bogart himself, and prior to Bogie i had Becall/ Bull terrier called her Callie, soon i'm getting a newfoundland pup and i'm calling him Boris............shhhhhhhhhh Bogie doesn't know it yet ...LOL...it's a surprise

My chi/terrier mix Willow, is named after my daughter's favorite movie, of the same name. My papillon/corgi is Kicho-Na, which means "precious" in Japanese. I bet I can guess who Minniyar's dog Ramoth is named after! Do you have a Mnementh too Minniyar? I loved those books!!

My puppy Lucy is named after the I love Lucy Show becasue she has a slight resemblence to Lucille Ball, they are both red heads and very goofy!

scout is named after the little girl named scout in to kill a mockingbird. my two cats are fox mulder and scully both named after characters in the tv show the x- files i had another cat named pippin named after the hobbits in the lord of the rings trilogy.

I have two cats, Zelda and Mario, named after video games. The cat I put to sleep was named Luigi, same reason. I had a dog named Leyla, and even though I didn't name her, I liked to sing her the song by Cream.

Sophie seems to be a really popular name. I had a best friend whose dog's name was Sophie and I didn't realize it until I got my dog.

my shihtzu is Fitzgerald, the family name has tycoon in it, so we went with F Scott Fitzgerald. kind of cute. we have goldens at work, Rhet and Scartet, Sampson and Delilah, and to cockers, Lincoln and Reagan. I like when theres two and you can to that.

My new Boxer puppy (when I eventually get her) will be named "Ziggy" from David Bowie's album and character Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders From Mars.

We have a dog named Bowen, named after Dennis Quaid's char in the movie Dragonheart. Our Akita was named Ramoth after the gold dragon in Anne Mccaffrey's Dragonriders of Pern books. Yes we have a thing for dragons. We dont' know what our Newfoundland's actual name will be because generally, the breeder has a general theme for her litters, like they all have ot be named after something to do with Angels (loose reference). But we do know his call name, regardless, will be Sully, for the big hairy monster in Monster's Inc.

My ex and I named our Beagle "Jedi". When we first thought about getting a pup, he wanted to name it something from Star Wars (ugh!), like Han or Luke (second ugh!). So I threw in the towel and said I'd be okay with Chewie. But when we first met Jedi, he looked like he was wearing a black cape over everyhting but paws and snout and he didnt look like a Chewie...so Jedi it was. My ex now refers to himself in the thirdperson...Jedi Master.
