lovekelsey- I don't know if you would remember (the pictures are no longer on Candyhearts site), but Dakota was wearing the black ribbon. In one picture he was standing alone with what looked like muddy feet. He is really a fantastic pup, smart, loving, and very mild mannered, like his dad- Toby. No wonder the breeder had thoughts of keeping him - but I'm so glad she didn't - I'm totally loving him!
harlee - thanks for your concern! Dakota's cough seems to be just about gone. Can't wait to get him back to Vet, checked out and get his shots going. I did speak to the breeder and she does not believe that Dakota has or had Kennel cough- she said that maybe he had a cold - she totally believes that the Vet misdiagnosed my pup.
Oh, I'm glad he's getting better. I was really very worried and didn't want to tell you about what happened to my pup. I adopted a pup from one of he local shelters in my area and was told that she was fine. She had Kennel Cough the night I brought her home on a Friday and by Monday, it was pneomonia, which was only a precurosr to the fact that she had Distemper. I had her all of of ten days before she had to be PTS. The poor little thing never had a chance, but my consoliation is that dhe didn't die at the shelter unwanted or unloved.
