The "puggle" is not a breed. You will never know what you will get. They are inconsistant and you could end up with a dog that looks exactly like a beagle, one that looks exactly like a pug, or a bad mixture of the both!
Why is it that you have to have a mix? If you really HAVE to have a mix I'd suggest looking through www.petfinder.com or your local shelter. You can also try breed rescues. If a "puggle" was only a thought(I hope so!!) then I can tell you that pugs are great dogs to have. But, they also have some health issues so you will NEED to make sure they do all health tests and the dog has a good pedigree(you will not get this from any "puggle" breeders).
I just saw two at the pound yesterday. I agree they are just a mix & so many of these so called "designer breeds" end up in the pound. Why not just go to the pound & be around them in person to see if they fit your lifestyle & if you like their personality.
Holy wow, if someone's trying to sell you any puppy, I don't care what breed or mix breed, that is 1 month old, you needt o run run run away.
No puppy should be taken away from it's littermates before it's 8 weeks old. This is critical for the pup's social health and well-being. Pups learn important behavior from their littermates and their mother in the 6-8 week stage.
