I take one Cocker with me.Shes pretty good at it but I have never trained her to flush anythign out.She just does it on her own.Now she wont retrieve it.Shes to prissy to put anything dead in her mouth. But she will find it for me and bark until I get there.Shes pretty good for never being trained.
Sorry Diesel I am not a big veggie fan. Tried once couldn't do it. I can't even eat lettuce. Not everyone can, will or ever be a vegetrian. Different strokes for different folks.
***ETA: I meet someone online who is a fruitarian. She believes that eating veggies are cruel. And that veggies have feelings just like other animals. Food for thought there. Even being a vegetrian upsets people. Because they think that is wrong as well. http://www.fruitarian.com/ ***

People in the US don't eat dog because a dog is likely to be someone's pet. The steak I buy at Outback isn't anyone's pet. It's food. I wouldn't eat someone's pet potted plant either. And don't tell me plants dont have feelings, many plants do have protective touch receptors and they bleed (sap). I'll try any food once.
Most organ meats, stomach, brains, tripe, etc, are very very high in cholesterol. And high amounts of vitamins and minerals too.. but its hard to get past the cholesterol.
I've had alligator.. it tasted like tough chicken. Overcooked tough chicken.
Shark has a kind of a bite (haha!) to it that isn't pleasant IMHO. Almost a bitter salty taste. There aren't many fish that can be store bought I haven't tried.
Had rabbit as a kid, it tasted so much like chickne I thought it WAS chicken. These were farm raised, not wild rabbits.
I've had buffalo.. ostrich. You can sometimes buy it at meat markets. Would love to try snake someday.
Minniyar.... I hate to disagree with you but that piece of beef you pick up at the store Could have been someones pet! I've known and raised quite a few pet cows and all of my neighbors always end up with a bottle baby calf or two after calving season, and they always end up as pets.....where do you think they go when they are sold???? ( I do eat beef, but just thought I'd mention it can be a pet even if it is a cow.):-)
When my husband was in the navy I think they ate everything. He has eat octipus and other things that litterly turns my stomach. I had just about soon eat a rat as a squirrel. He is always teasing me about shooting some of the squirrels around and having squirrel and dumplings. UGh!!! If that wouldn't turn you vegeterian, nothing would. I'll just stick to my steaks, and pork chops, fish thank you. ha!!!
Rattlesnake real good on the grill, Wild Russian Boar Very Good Chops!, Buffalo good substitute for beef, Coon nope not again, Possum just a little try, Elk very good, Caribou did not care for it, Venison I eat 2 deer a year, Frog legs yum, Pickled BULL testicles nasty! and my least favorite Cougar I don't think Apex predators should be food, not good!! I've been to a few game feeds!
