what a good post..i didnt no some of these breeds even existed...I have always been a horse lover..and recently had one offered free from my hubbys cousin..she could no longer afford the board and we have land..and she was going to give us everything..horse, trailer and all..but ..I learned the long and short of horse care..I knew they were lots of work..but I had no idea the half of it..I didnt know all the areas you had to personally clean if you get my drift..and I dont know if I would want to sign on to all of that..I have always loved riding horses...but im also afraid of hieghts...and i just love petting feeding and being with the animals...I have always had a horse collection growing up..and still have many..I love all horses...big or small..my least favorite..would have to be pinto, appaloosa or any of the spotted ones..not sure why...but i still would love them..but if i had a pic of several i would not pick them first i think...any way...good post..and good to know so many horse lovers are here...
i have a new favorite...cockerlover told me about them. the curly horse. i'm going to try and convince my boyfriend to take me horse back riding now cause there is a breeder of curly horses not to far from me and they do training as well. might be fun.
forgot to add that they are good for me because i am allergic to horses but these ones are supposed to be hypoallergenic.

I think I like the Paso Fino the best for stylish looks. As afar as the best all around horse, Quarter Horses are my favorite. THey're so versatile. And I like mustangs too.
I once saw a gold arabian at a horse show in Illinois once. I can't describe the color any better than that. It was a rich buttery gold color that reflected light, like the intense gold of a palimino only without the flaxen mane and tail.
My favorite colors on horses are the Overo and Tobiano paint patterns, and grullas/blue dun. I had a grulla mustang as a teaching horse at a horse camp my sophomore year in college... what a great little guy.
