Now that it is finally cooling down here, the pups have been a lot more active. Last evening, it was just so beautiful out. The dogs were playing in the yard and the pasture, and I snapped some cute pics. Just Everest, Yukon, & Sierra. Summit is too young yet to train him on the underground fence. He was pouting inside! LOL!
dusty: Yes we are very blessed! All the more room for more rescues, eh? In the first pic off to the right in the pasture is where we plan to build the kennel building and runs. We have a small building that will fit 3 runs, till we can get the big one done. Then we can make the smaller building the quarantine kennel.
The grass IS soft, I laid down in it to get the pic of Sierra. We just lay nose to nose for a while! Now if we can get Yukon to stop eating our Aspen trees! LOL!
People will come to our place (which we plan to call Aspengrove Siberians), and say: "Nice place, but....uh... Where are the Aspens?" LMAO. We're working on it!
Aspengrove Siberians. I like it ! I love plush green grass. I always want to lay down in it, but then i itch like crazy afterwards. lol I think its worth it though. Your place is so beautiful and peaceful looking. You have some very pretty dogs, and lucky ones too. lol
If you are a dog and your owner suggests that you wear a sweater, suggest that he wear a tail.
lol, very understandable, especially since we live on a farm....and the dogs and cats. well we don't have any little rodents running around other than moles; they would just kill those and leave the bodies to lay.
does that field have the underground fence in it too?
They have the yard, which you see about 1/4 of it in the pics. The back pasture, (in the background of the first pic.) And the side pasture, of which you see most of it in the pics. Oh, and most of the driveway. In all, about 3 acres. The cornfield in the background is off limits, though. As is the main barn, and a small shed that I feed the cats in. They'd get into WAY too much trouble in the barn! LOL!
ROTFLMAO Dusty!!!! I do love my farm cats, but some of them are sooo stupid! My fat indoor cats could run circles around them and outwit them any day! But... they have a job to do on the farm. They are very proficient at catching vermin, as mentioned above! For that, I'm thankful...
I love the pictures that you took. It is so nice to see them outside running around having fun. I have huskies too and they do not do too much in the hot weather. Anyways, how old is Summit? I have put my Huskies on the electronic fence when they were around 10 - 12 weeks old. We had the little collar for them first and set it low. As they got older they went to the 9 volt collar. It seemed to work for them well.
