I adopted the sweetest puppy from the Miami Dade Animal shelter in August. He is such a sweet heart and has a very great temperment especially with my two toddlers. Saber is his name and he is 3 months old and weighs about 25 lbs. He is so cute. He looked almost like a pure bred lab when we first got him. But now his ears are changing, one is floppy and stands up ;) his coat is still kind of furry, not super short. We are just curious of what you dog experts think he maybe mixed with... Thank you!!!I will try and post a pic but not sure how to. Any help would be appreciated!
AWWW . What a cutie pie ! He looks like a lab, except the ears are a little different. In the pics , it looks like he has a white chest with maybe a little bit of ticking. If he does have the ticking i would say he may have a tiny bit of Australian Cattle Dog mixed in him. That could also explain the heavier coat.
Maybe an Akita/Lab mix? Who really knows also looks like a Pit/Lab mix.
Maybe even Heeler, Shepherd, Chow, who knows. It is hard to tell when they are not fully grown. It can be hard to tell period even as adults. Crossbreeds might look like they have other breeds in them that they don't and other times can take more after one parents then the other.
