Katz - If a man rapes and kills one of your beloved how would you feel??? that is the point I am trying to make!!!! I DID not poke fun at that child, all I said was that that child has the potential to be a cold hearted rapist as an adult and that is a fact not an invention but an everyday nightmare for the young girls of those countries....I'd like to see how you would feel if you were a 12 yo girl who was raped and bashed and then left pregnant to fend for yourself and not only that but be left with a souvenir that will cut your life short - AIDS....Would you still manage to gather some compassion then??

I feel for the women but I don't think the majority of those men deserve compassion, anyone who rapes and destroys the lives of young girls deserve only one thing and that is to have their nuts chopped off whilst being tied to a chair. Most of those men are also married and they pass on the aids virus to their wives, perhaps you would like to trade places..........what is wrong with you?!

ANY BABY BORN has the POTENTIAL to turn into a rapist or murderer. YOU said that that you had compassion until you thought of what they COULD become.....and then it went away. That is just WRONG. You should NEVER judge a child on what an adult does.........EVER. I grew up in a household that was VERY abusive.....multiple "dads" and all abusive......mom was abusive....all alcoholics. YET.....I do NOT drink, my husband does NOT drink, we are FAR from abusive(my kids do not even get a swat on the butt), I had a HUGE potential to be nothing but a frigging Trailer Trash abused drunk but I did NOT. So, I still say SHAME ON YOU. You need to think about your life and put your prospectives in check. It is WRONG to ever NOT feel for a poor child just because what they MAY become.

I would also be willing to BET you that NOT ALL men over there have aids and rape and kill their wives........

Katz, of course not all men are rapists but from what I have heard on more than one occasion they are the majority, not the minority unfortunately; and the ones that cheat on their wives are also the majority and they are aware of aids but still screw around and then bring home the souvenir for their wives to sample and those, to me, are just as bad as the rapists.

I am sorry to hear that you have had such a sad and rough upbringing and it's nice to see that you have made a success of your life and good for you, you ought to be proud of having surfaced from something that would have suffocated other less strong individuals.

My point is that in disease-ridden and poverty stricken countries you just don't expect that kind of behaviour, perhaps I am having a blonde moment but one would think that they would be more interested in gathering food for their families instead of screwing around and raping the poor young girls.

The reality of what you said is so harsh it shocks me. You lose compassion for that boy becasuse he may grow up to be a rapist or spread aids. I think you need to take a good long look at what you wrote and think about it. You must be a lonely bitter and childless woman to say what you did. You are one of the crudest people I have ever shared a thread with. You need to learn that with that attitude nothing good can be accomplished. You need to get help and I am being serious. Your views are so warped that you would see a picture of a starving boy waiting to be eaten by a buzzard and all you can say is he will grow up to rape someone. That is one of the most disturbing statements I have ever heard. This is why this world is such a crude place to live is because people like you that claim you are a Christian or what ever your vegan wanna be as# is. Then you make the statement that is it because God is racist. Where do you come up with this stuff. I hope you meet nothing but kind and compassionate people so that it may rub off on you a little. Mybe you should try and hit the floor and pray because you have a horrible strong hold over you and it is called ANGER and BITTERNESS.

When you grow up like that.....they do not know that they SHOULD have more....because they don't. It is just life. They have never had more and so they do not seem to think they need more. Does that make sense to you? I know that you cannot understand that mentality. But if all of a sudden food was in VERY short supply here, people would FREAK! However, if it stayed like that for 10-20 years, everyone would get used to it and try to learn how to manage with what we have......now, our kids, and their kids, would never have known the bountiful amounts of food we had, and so they would not know what it would be like to have more. They would be happy with what they got. And live their lives as normally as they could. Does that make sense?

Also, people over here in the U.S. also can know they have AIDS or other stds and pass it on to women without telling them. They can also go to jail for attempted murder. Did you know that. It happens ALOT here.......alot more people here and so you do not here about them as often.........when you get a small group of people, the bad ones will stand out more. Make sense?
ALSO, their rules of a womens age for sexual maturity probably differ from ours, much the same as some countries eat dog but wouldn't touch a cow....we are the opposite. Many a day ago girls were getting married at 11 years old.....HERE IN THE USA!
Some countries just have not developed as fast as us. They do not have the same respect for each other as we do. Hell, look how long it has been since "black" people have been able to be "part of society".......we are FAR from civilized.......their country has issues.......so do ours......we are not better then them. We have just advanced at different rates.

(BTW, No offense to the "black" comment. It was not meant to offend, only make a point that we have only RECENTLY become "civilized" ourselves)

Utopia - I was joking when I said that god may be racist, der and when you progress onto saying that I must be lonely, bitter and childless, well those are the signs of somebody that is truly delusional.

How could you be vehement in your attitude towards my comments after all I am just openly expressing my thoughts, you'd be surprised at the amount of people that share my exact sentiments but don't have the guts to openly air them. There is nothing cold and heartless in not having compassion for adult men of those countries....I did say that it tears me apart to see those children having to suffer but you conveniently turn a blind eye to that, hum! Deep down I am beginning to see that so-called christians should open their brain and start questioning things instead of allowing themselves to be brainwashed....if you feel so compassionate about the state of the word then maybe you should get down on your knees and start praying for the almighty to start making some constructive changes instead of sunbaking as he has for centuries.
