yes puppies are addictive for sure!!. nothing like newborns its like pure heaven the little sounds like a newborn baby.... heaven.. do what i do call the people every couple days to see how they are doing ask for pics ;)
Wait a minute - you gave away YOUR dog to help other dogs? WHAT!?!!?!? How does that even make sense? Talk about cutting off your nose to spite your face. Seriously. WTH. You contributed to the number of unwanted animals to take in an unwanted animal? I can't get over it. My babies are exactly that, MY BABIES and they aren't going anywhere. How do you live with a decision like that?
Ok I gotta point this out. Where did you get the puppies mother. What you said and what her Dogster says our to totally differnt things. You said she was a stray you took in. Her Dogster says she was a owner surrounder which is it. The puppies mother occurding to Dogster is Gracie
If we ban Pit Bulls and Rottweilers are humans some dont like next ?

I live with my decision knowing that I can open my home to dogs that don't have one. Now I don't have to worry about exposing him to anything these rescues might carry.
I live with my decision knowning that he is in a great home and that he is being pampered.
I live with my decision every time one of my rescues gets close to me and wants to be petted and now I can do just that without feeling sand about not having enough arms/hands to pet my rescues and my own dog.
I live with my decision every time I see a rescue being adopted by a great family and knowing I helped this defenseless little creature find someone kind to take care of him/her.

I consider Gracie a stray since her previous owners didn't care about her and would let her roam around carelessly. She got hurt by who knows what that left a permanent limp on her, she was pregnant, she was very skinny, missing a bottom tooth, full of fleas, all matted and dirty. After I followed her home, I just asked her previous owner if I could have her and she was glad to get rid of Gracie.
"eeee gakks i just read some of the other posts OMG!! why would you keep a dog aggressive dog when you have that many others and puppies around :("
The big dog was outside in the yard but he managed to open the sliding door....I learned my lesson, now I make sure the door is locked all the time. Besided the dog that attacked the little one is NOT an agressive dog, the litle dog was a NEW rescue and he didn't know him very well yet.
I guess NOBODY in this forum ever made any mistakes in their life time.....I'm the only one.
There's a story I heard many years ago, it goes like this:
Once upon a time there was a man that had a son and a donkey and they all lived together in the country. One day the man decided to take a trip to the city with his son and donkey. So he started his journey with his son on top of the donkey and him walking alongside. After some time of walking they came accross some people. These people started attacking the boy "how dare you be on top of the donkey and let your poor dad walk...shame on you!" So, the little boy got off the donkey and conviced his father to ride the donkey. Again, after a while they encountered another group of people. Now the father was scolded..."look at you all comfy riding the donkey and your poor son walking under the sun!"
So, father and son decided they would both get on top of the donkey. Another group of people comes by and now they both get scolded for riding the donkey..."poor donkey, he has to carry the both of you!" Give that poor donkey a break and get off him!"
The father started pondering about this experience and after a while he decided that no matter what he did, people will always complain about something.
I'm so glad I learned this story a long time ago, it's helped me not to worry about being accepted by everybody. I know there will be people that will critize me no matter what I do.:)
With that in mind, I now leave you because I have other important matters to attend to.
Whether you agree with her methods or not is really not the point. This person is still rescuing dogs, strays and unwanted animals. Why be so nasty about it? Do you think she has some kind of hidden agenda? I doubt it. Everyone has their own way of helping in this world, and it would be nice if some credit could be given for that.
WHATEVER!!!???!!!??? You can say that we've made mistakes and that is true but SERIOUSLY we have learned from them. Your answers don't even make sense. You can't justify and injustice no matter how you try to spin it.

Are you done yet Pen2? Did it make you feel better telling me how I should feel about a subject I have been dealing with for a couple years now? Have you hit that post quota yet? You should take a break and celebrate you impressive posting victories.
I'm done with this thread, what a joke. What a surprise.
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.
Pen I think you might be missing the point. Obviously there is more to this poster than you (or even myself) know about. The members that are posting have been around long enough to see some of the strange things that the OP has done.
Well, if I knew someone was actually counting my postings, I would have toned it down, just a tad. I did'nt realize there was a posting quota; I guess that was missed, along with a few other rules, when I joined up. Why don't you explain what's been going on for the past 2 years instead of resorting to nasty cracks? I thought this was an open discussion forum, and I don't have a right to an opinion, because I'm new? That's pretty funny. Whether you (all of you) have been dealing with this person for 2 years is irrelevant. There has to be SOME credit given for rescuing animals, and that's the point I'm making. If there is NO credit due to this person, someone can enlighten me.
AMEN TO PEN2!!!!!!!!!!! I LOVE YOU PEN!!!! i know you have helped me out in many situations....don't worry about them....obivously it runs deeper than what you or i or i'm sure others on here can understand.....so....i won't say not one word although quite a few come to mind all i will say is bless the animals that are better for the OP's efforts. I do have a question...couldn't this be compared to adoption (human form)? I mean like, a mother, who chooses to give up her baby for a better life, down the road from that time when better equipped and more stable is ready for her own children so she chooses to adopt a child of her own. Could this not be said that she did a humane thing by giving her own born a better life whilst helping out another by adopting to give that child a better life?? Please don't attack me...i'm not claiming to know or understand crap of what this fued is all about I'm just trying to make a feeble comment. Thank you!!!! Everyone have a great day!!! :)
Pen, around here a no good deed goes unpunished. For the life of me, I don't understand why they started attacking you. But it has been my experience, when others talk about you it means they recognize qualities in you that they lack themselves. Take the high road and just don't respond to them anymore.
Everyone has a photographic memory.... Some just don't have any film.
