I was just curious if anyone on the forum is a vegitarian? I know we all love animals here. If you are, what was your reason (obvious), when did you start and what is your normal meal? Thanks for sharing; I'm just curious.
i started in high school. my gym teacher got me started. although i have not cut out all meats i still eat chicken and fish occasionally. i consider to at least it once a week for nutritional reasons. i eat mostly tofu and veggies and drink plenty of water. no sodas, nothing with high levels of sugars, or acids, or salts. i find myself feeling better living this lifestyle more energy. but you have to be aware of what you put into your body. i am on alot of vitamins and supplements to make sure that my body functions the way its supposed. how long have you been a vegitarian?
I'm not a vegetarian. I'm only in 8th grade so it would be rude to my mom not to eat the food she cooks for our family. I think I might start when I go to college or when I can cook my own food everyday. I also don't drink soda (as of 2 months ago) it really helps with my complexion. :-)
I am the same way, I do not eat red meat except on extreme occasions but I usually feel sick afterwards. I do eat fish and chicken about once a week. I started about 2 years ago. I do not take any medicines unless I absolutely have to, I do not smoke or drink. I do not like the idea of that in my body. I think that it has been good for me. I have been sick one time in 5 years.
I know what you mean, Boxer Babe, I don't get it either. Im not a vegetarian...but I find it weird that some vegetarians eat only certain meats. Fish and chicken are still animals. Maybe they are not vegetarians because they think eating animals is bad, maybe they're vegetarians because they do not like to eat red meat. I'm sure someone here will know...
just because i eat some white meat doesnt mean im not a vegitarian. it means that i will stomach it because i know the nutritional value of meat. not eat any meat will have effects on the body. if you want to not eat meat all thats great just research the lifestyle first and make sure taking all the supplements you need to be healthy. meats have certain vital protein and supplements in them. and if dont eat it, it needs replaced. every one has an opinion and you cant hate that.
Ya I'm totally a vegetarian! My first meal was actaully KD with hamburger but i picked all the burger out! Ha! Anyway it feels so good just to say i do't eat animals and yes sometimes it can be difficult but i pull through. For the love of our best buddies! Go vegetarian!
thanks for your opinion boxer babe. maybe my condition might shed some light on this subject. see i have anemias so i dont like red meat but i will occasionally eat some white meat because it helps replace what i dont have. when my anemias gets really bad i am so weak and tired. if i dont have my supplements or i forgot to buy some i will eat some meat. its replaces the supplements that i need and i feel a little better. i cant be a true vegan but i try to best of my abilities. but not to the point to where it affects my health.
Gina, I was the one that gave up sodas! Haha, I'm so happy for myself. I never really had a lot like my mom who used to have a six pack a day!! The only time I'll have one is ocasionally on the weekends. It was my choice because they're better for you and they fill you up, but then my manager told me to quick drinking them for good so I had to quick drinking them on the weekends.
